Welcome to the Fall Semester
- MS in Telecommunications:
The Fall semester is just around the corner. Last night, the new student orientation saw a healthy turn-out of new TCOM students. The slides from the presentation about the TCOM program are attached. After the start of classes next week, we have planned our annual "Welcome Back" reception on September 8 from 4-6pm in the TCOM office; be sure to mark your calendars. In the Fall semester, we will be offering 30 distinct sections of TCOM courses. Besides the usual offerings of core courses and electives, there will again be a set of cutting edge courses offered as TCOM 690. Of particular interest should be a very timely course on "Migrating to IPv6" that can really set you apart from other students. Additionally, we will be offering again the excellent courses on "Scalable Network Architectures", "IP Multicasting", and "Cloud Computing".
There will be nine courses this semester with a distance-learning section: TCOM 500, 501/02, 509/29, 552, 562, 609, 610, and 690 (IP Multicasting); TCOM 516/26 will be taught only in DL mode.
